McCarthys Peated Oregon Single Malt

Lost Lantern hand-selected this cask McCarthys Oregon Single Malt from Clear Creek Distillery in Oregon. McCarthys is one of the very first American single malts, and the first one we fell in love with. Clear Creek has quietly made this exceptional whiskey for almost three decades.

This six-year-old cask, one of the distillerys oldest, was made from U.K. barley malted with Islay peat and fermented, distilled, and aged in Oregon, aged in a third-fill 228 liter Oregon oak cask, it has a deep, intense smoke, with savory notes of leather and smoked meats and hints of French vanilla and sweet cream.
